Meet Dr. Sharon Jones 

How she lives her learning:

Dr. Sharon Jones, Ed.D is the founder and CEO of the dot. Consulting and the non-profit Dottie Rose Foundation, where she leads and implements technology-focused education and innovation. Sharon has found her passion in education and has served as a computer science expert for the past 20 years, bridging the gap between our everyday actions and the application of technology.

Sharon is a highly sought-after and national award-winning Computer Science educator in the public school system and for corporate training. She has presented and been published nationally and internationally on data analytics, educational practices, and technology. Her book A Recipe for Success Using SAS University: How to Plan Your First Analytics Project is being used in curriculum and classrooms around the country.

Sharon also serves as a member of the National Small Business Leadership Council, where she represents North Carolina. When not running the technology-world, Sharon spends her time with her husband Ricky, and two sons, Ethan and Dylan, and their beloved dog, Cooper.

Meet Renee Houser 

How she lives her learning: 

Renee Houser is an international educational consultant, author, proud mom, and founder of Read.Write.Think. with Renee, a literacy consulting company created to empower educators, school leaders, and caregivers to be innovative decision-makers and fierce champions for student success. Previously, Renee taught at PS126 in New York City and worked as a staff developer at Columbia University's Reading & Writing Project. 


Renee's latest book, Teacher's Toolkit for Independent Reading, co-written with friend and colleague Dr. Gravity Golberg, has been met with great enthusiasm by teachers worldwide because it provides practical tools that are grounded in current research and best practices and can be used to carry out day-to-day teaching.


She holds master’s degrees from Old Dominion University and Fordham University and believes it is both an honor and responsibility to equip each child with a strong, healthy sense of self and empower each to read, write, and think independently.
